This weekend we(Gilson DosSantos, Christian Colli, Akhil Kumar Goud Koothal, and myself) created a flight attendant robot for the Kent State University Hackaton. We used the Koboki robot. We embedded it with a map of the hallway in the Aerospace building on campus. We then programmed it to use that path to autonomously navigate to a marked spot on the map and come back to us. On day 2 we made four mobile apps to use for the robot. 1 set was an iOS and an Android app for the passenger to request a comfort item like a beverage or a pillow. We then created a set of apps for the flight attendant's station. With that app orders are captured on the screen, the flight attendant loads the item onto the robot, and it delivers the item without any human controlling it, and it comes back to the station.
